Material : Blue Steel #2. This chisel is made in Sanjo City, Niigata. The advantage of this steel is that it has both stable sharpness and ease of sharpening. And there is a very beautiful marble pattern on the front side of the steel, and the cutting edge is striped. This striped pattern will not disappear even if you sharpen it. By sharpening this chisel, which is made by stacking steel, a new pattern appears on the cutting edge. The craftsman who made this chisel is “Yasushi Hanyuu”. He is not as famous as his fellow craftsman, Tasai, but he does a great job. I had the popular dovetail chisel custom-made. 1 set of 10 pieces and 1 piece of each size were made.
