Up for grabs is a wonderful new old stock chisel forged by 2nd gen Hidari Hisasaku, who was a premium traditional chisel smith from Tokyo & a competitor of Ichihiro. He forged the most desirable mokume chisels in all or japan which reach astronomical prices and is the father of 3rd gen Hisasaku who is the current smith. These chisels were forged 35+ years ago using the traditional method of charcoal forging & water quenching. And have delightfully hardened and will no longer warp on its user. In addition to this, these chisels are known for achieving some of the sharpest edges amongst Japanese tools, period. Backs wont require much work to get going and are nearly flat (a sign of a truly premium chisel). & features amongst the best laminations. & feature a genuine charcoal finish.
