Rare Rosewood Japanese Chisel 5.65mm White Steel Shouji/Kazuyoshi Kikuhiromaru
Secondly, I have this set in hand physically- most Japanese vendors here does not have the physical item that they list for sale. This scenario is the same way when you shop for guitars in Japan. What I list here I have physically in my hand and the actual item you will get- not a file photo. So rest assured you will get what is pictured and as described. This a one-off, custom handle, hand forged that came from a vendors collection from Japan that has a rare Palisander (genuine rosewood/dalbergia species). This custom material handle cannot be made anymore and exported outside of Japan due to CITES under trade restriction of 300 rosewood species as of January 2, 2017. Up for consideration is for one (1) 5.65mm Japanese Chisel Oire Nomi by Master blacksmith Shouji/Kazuyoshi Kikuhiromaru hand forged in Sanjo Niigata City, Niigata Prefecture out of white steel no. 1 with rare genuine rosewood handle bench chisel. You will not see anymore rosewood handles being offered due to those restrictions available internationally. This was custom ordered before that time and this combo with the homogeneous, dark genuine rosewood and white steel is refined elegance and simplicity at it’s finest coupled with the hand hammered hoop with the navy bluing of the ferule!
