High-speed steel provides a sharp edge that is very difficult to dull or chip, making it a great choice for hard, abrasive, or dirty woods, as well as other materials like MDF, various plastics, etc. Condition: The chisel is in good used condition. The back has been flattened and it has been sharpened to 8000 grit on Shapton Glass stones. The hoop has been set and the handle mushroomed. This style of chisel is meant for general-purpose use and is suitable for carpentry and cabinetry work.
