This is a set of six traditional “Ikko-style” Oiri chisels. The chisels come in a wooden box and appear to be unused, but may have some storage marks. Each blade is mirror polished and fits well into the durable hardwood handles. Ideal for professional woodworkers, engravers, and collectors who appreciate Japanese craftsmanship. You have to select which chisel(s) you want. 6mm 9mm 12mm 15mm 18mm 21mm 24mm 30mm 36mm. The blade is made in the traditional way and is very hard. But easy to sharpen. The back of the chisel is hollow-ground to make it easier to hone. They are very well balanced. With an iron hoop at the end. Chisels are about 225mm long (9). Don’t forget to check my other items.

Red oak handle signed kane-ei (the same handle maker to ichihiro), black hoop and an exquisite ura. Beautiful finish & lamination. The steel has age hardened and was made some decades ago. Which results in a keener, longer lasting edge, & a chisel that isnt likely to warp on you much like a newly made chisel. No need to season it. And features a beautiful/wonderful lamination.
