We are honored to present a rare 5-piece “Oire Nomi” set by the master blacksmith Kenichi Yamada, the 4th generation of the prestigious “Sea Hiro” (Umihiro) lineage in Sanjo, Japan. These chisels are forged using traditional White Paper Steel No. 2″ and hardened through the classic “Pine Charcoal Quenching method. This process ensures an incredibly sharp edge and superior ease of sharpening, making them a top choice for serious woodworkers. Brand: Sea Hiro (Umihiro). Blacksmith: Kenichi Yamada (4th Generation). Blade Material: White Paper Steel No. Method: Pine Charcoal Quenching. Set Includes 5 Sizes. Origin: Sanjo, Niigata, Japan. Sanjo Masterpiece: Sea Hiro is one of the most respected names in Sanjo blacksmithing history. Traditional Hardening: The pine charcoal quenching method provides a stable, high-hardness edge that outperforms modern electric furnace methods. Professional Set: Covers essential widths for high-end joinery and precision woodworking. Excellent condition (Long-term storage). These are unused items, but they are vintage tools stored for a long period. They are not in “mint” condition like brand-new modern factory products. Please expect minor surface patina, slight storage marks, or spots on the blades. Please examine the high-resolution photos carefully. As with all high-carbon steel tools, they will rust if exposed to moisture. Please maintain with camellia oil.
